Hi I’m Charly and I run C.A.N. DO Family Fitness.

I have always had a passion for sport and being outdoors. My hobbies range from Ice Skating and Snowboarding to Hill Walking and Climbing. I have also dabbled in martial arts and competed in events such as Tough Mudder.

In 2015 I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science (BSc Hons).

I am a qualified Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Postnatal Buggyfit Trainer, Pre/Postnatal Pilates & Circuits Trainer.

When I had my baby I knew I wouldn’t be doing any of my hobbies anytime soon so looked around for some activities that were less high impact!  During pregnancy I suffered from PGP (Pelvic Girdle Pain) and found that exercising made it more bearable. I attended Buggyfit classes while I lived in Oxfordshire but we moved with just a month left till our Son was due and it was reassuring to know that there was also a Buggyfit class in Peterborough that I could attend. Fast forward 18 months and I was presented with the opportunity to take over Buggyfit classes.  I have since trained as a Pre/Postnatal Pilates & Cardio Trainer.

I’ve always wanted to work in a rehabilitation setting and having had my baby, quickly realised that education and advice surrounding postnatal recovery is somewhat lacking! At C.A.N. DO Family Fitness our aim is to educate mothers about the importance of exercising safely and help restore pelvic function. Buggyfit achieves this by using low impact exercises specifically tailored for women recovering from childbirth as well as during pregnancy.

One of my goals as a fitness instructor is to bring families together.

I hope to see you at a Buggyfit, Pilates or Cardio session soon!

Charly
